What this tool does
We inspect characters,
not authorship.
Text may contain zero-width spaces, bidirectional controls, Unicode tag characters, and other invisible code points. They arrive through copying, formatting, or deliberate insertion.
Important: their presence alone does not prove that an AI wrote the text. This tool does not bypass AI detectors or alter writing style — it only performs transparent, verifiable cleanup.
The second half is editorial. Officialese, clichés, and sentences that are all the same length make writing lifeless no matter who wrote it. What can be fixed mechanically, we fix. Where meaning is involved, we highlight and explain — and you decide.
Frequently asked questions
Is my text sent anywhere?
No. The entire analysis runs in your browser in JavaScript. The server sends the page and learns nothing about your text. You can disconnect from the network after the page loads and everything still works.
What are invisible characters and where do they come from?
Unicode code points with no visible glyph: zero-width space (U+200B), word joiner (U+2060), bidirectional marks, Unicode tag characters (U+E0000–E007F). They come from copying between editors and messengers, from typesetting, or from deliberate marking.
Does this prove a text was written by AI?
No, and we do not claim it does. Invisible characters appear in text written by people and are absent from plenty of AI output. The tool reports which characters are in your file — not who wrote it.
How does Safe mode differ from Strict?
Safe mode leaves emoji joiners, variation selectors, and marks required by scripts with joined letters untouched. Strict mode removes those too, so it may visually alter emoji, Arabic, Persian, and some Asian text.
Why are some findings not fixed automatically?
Because the replacement needs the meaning of the sentence. "It is important to note that" can simply be deleted — that is mechanical. But a nominalization chain has to be rewritten in plain words while preserving every fact. A blind substitution would damage the text, so we highlight the spot and explain the problem instead.
What does the rhythm chart show?
The length of each sentence in words. If the bars are all roughly equal, the text reads mechanically — one of the most recognisable signals of generated writing. Living prose alternates short and long sentences.
